Abstract
This study explored the role of transformational leadership and digital competencies in enhancing digital integration within schools. As digital technologies become increasingly integral to education, effective leadership, and comprehensive digital skills are essential for navigating this landscape. Employing a qualitative research design, the study utilized a thorough literature review methodology to critically analyze and synthesize information from various sources, including books, academic journals, non-published references, and periodic reports. The findings highlight the pivotal role of school leaders in driving digitalization by adopting visionary mindsets and fostering environments where teachers can effectively integrate technology into their practices. Essential digital competencies for school leaders include technological literacy, digital communication skills, data-driven decision-making, digital pedagogy, cybersecurity awareness, and a commitment to continuous professional development. Despite the benefits, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, high costs of digital devices, and resistance to change impede effective digital leadership. Addressing these challenges through targeted professional development and supportive policies is crucial. The study concluded that transformational leadership and robust digital competencies are vital for successful digital transformation in schools, necessitating continuous learning and strategic planning to adapt to rapid technological advancements.
